Physical education develops students overall wellbeing by challenging them physically and mentally whilst providing an excellent platform to socially exercise. In the physical education department we believe in putting our school ethos into action promoting a ‘healthy, active lifestyle, rich in sporting opportunity’ to develop the lifelong learner. This allows us to offer a wonderful range of activities to ensure all students are engaged, after all, not everyone likes every sport!
The course aims to increase students physical competence, develop involvement and effectiveness in physical activity and become a more informed decision maker in relation to their own and others involvement in physical activity. This is achieved by providing a curriculum that offers traditional sports with new and alternative activities that primarily focus on the students improving health and fitness.
Knowledge to maintain a healthy lifestyle into adulthood.
